Davis Street Transfer Station

October 21, 2011 - Room 14 took a field trip to the Davis Street Transfer Station to see where all the trash, recycling and compost collected in Alameda County goes before being diverted to other places (like the Altamont Landfill & different recycling centers). Enjoy the pictures!

Sometimes the pit was stinky and for some reason it also smelled like syrup. I liked watching the trucks crush the trash. It was awesome!
