Way back on March 21, we built our own landfills-in-a-bottle and on April 25th, we finally excavated them! We found that NOTHING happened to almost all of the different types of trash we buried, which was the whole point of this activity. The more we do the 4 Rs, the more we can keep things from going into the landfill (where they can’t decompose, and ultimately, they’ll just take up space)!
